2012-2013 Application Procedures and Check List
JANUARY UPDATE: Due to the large number of individuals who have applied to St. Teresa’s Academy for the 2013-14 school year, applications are no longer being accepted. If your daughter is interested in attending St. Teresa’s Academy for the 2013-14 school year, you may email your information to the Director of Admissions and be placed on a waiting list. You will be contacted if space becomes available.
Because enrollment is limited, we encourage all applicants to submit the required Application for Admission and Records Release form by December 1, 2012. Students who meet this deadline will be notified of our admission decision by February 1, 2013. Students whose applications are received after December 1, 2012, will be considered for admission; however, they may experience a delay in receiving our acceptance decision.
1. Schedule a shadow day. Eighth grade girls are invited to spend a day at STA. Sit in on classes, meet the faculty, staff and students, and learn why over 580 girls have chosen to make STA their academic home.
2. Complete the Application for Admission and Records Release Form and return them to the Office of Admissions of St. Teresa’s Academy. The HSPT registration fee is $15.00. St. Teresa’s Academy will contact each applicant’s school to request academic records and teacher recommendations. It is not necessary for parents to contact their daughter’s school to request these documents.
3. Apply for financial aid. Families seeking financial aid may apply online at www.fairapp.com or by contacting the Office of Admissions for a financial aid packet. Financial aid applications for incoming freshman families should be submitted by March 8, 2013.
4. Take the HSPT. The STS High School Placement Test will be administered at St. Teresa’s Academy on January 12, 2013. Students should arrive at Donnelly Hall by 8:15 am.
The Admissions Committee will review each student’s grades, HSPT scores, previous standardized testing, and teacher recommendations prior to making our admission decision.
