Student Life

Publications

The students of St. Teresa's Academy find their voice in four different publications: The Dart newspaper, the Teresian yearbook, DartNewsOnline website and the Windmoor literary magazine.

  • The Dart newspaper has been publishing since 1940.  The staff has been nominated for the Pacemaker award, the most prestigious student-press award, and annually wins Best of the Year awards from the National Scholastic Press Association for design, writing and photography.
  • The Teresian yearbook staff publishes a full-color yearbook detailing the sports, academic and social lives of STA students.  The staff has been nominated for NSPA Best of the Year awards, and the 2008 edition of the book "Unscripted" won the Gold Crown award from the Columbia Scholastic Journalism Association.
  • DartNewsOnline began in 2009, and during its first year was nominated and won a Pacemaker award from NSPA.  The staff of the Dart print newspaper provides content for the website, which includes multimedia graphics, photo galleries, video, a twitter feed, blogs, a facebook fan page and news stories.
  • The Windmoor literary magazine prints one installment each year to showcase the art and literature of the student body.  An extracurricular activity staffed by faculty and students, the magazine also created an online presence in 2009: Windmoor Wired.
