The guidance department at St. Teresa’s provides a comprehensive and individualized college counseling program to assist families in the college search, application and matriculation process. STA continually boasts a 100% acceptance rate to college and recognition in the National Merit program.

St. Teresa’s maintains relationships with college and university admission offices throughout the country. Over 80 college and university admission representatives visit STA each year to meet with students. Our families utilize Naviance Family Connection, an up to date web based program specific to STA that allows students and parents to research colleges, search deadlines and requirements, analyze probability for admission, complete surveys, and much more.

We serve families through junior and senior evening programs, college fairs, monthly newsletters and emails, class meetings (sophomores and juniors), small group meetings (juniors), and individual meetings (juniors and seniors). The College Resource Center has a vast array of resource materials and is available for juniors and seniors. Sophomores are required to take the PLAN (produced by ACT) and the PSAT (produced by the College Board). Juniors are required to take the PSAT and are offered opportunities for ACT and SAT test preparation.
