STARS AT STATE
The tennis team bounced back in the final round of the state tennis tournament, defeating Marquette 5-1 for the 3rd place team trophy (and another banner in the gym!). The team that beat us in the semi-finals went on to win the class 2 state title 5-0. The team should be very proud of their accomplishment!! Kylie will play on Friday and Saturday in individual play. The St. Teresa's tennis team defeated Liberty 5-2 and Park Hill 5-4 on Saturday, and have advanced to the state semi-finals in Springfield on Thursday. The team will play at 9 a.m., and the championships are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the Cooper Tennis Complex. Senior Kylie Hornbeck will also play in the state individual tennis tournament on Friday and Saturday.

DISTRICT RESULTS
Congratulations to the tennis team for finishing as district runner-up and to Kylie for earning a place in the state competition.

The team will host Park Hill South on Tuesday in the first round of sectional play. A win on Tuesday will put the team in the final rounds of sectionals next Saturday. Winning sectionals will send the entire team to state.

The tennis team dominated at the Bishop Miege Guilfoil Tournament. Not only did the team win overall first place, they did it without losing a match. Yes, STA was 20-0. Congratulations to #1 singles champion, Kylie Hornbeck, #2 singles champion Murphy Marx, #1 doubles champions Caroline Farchmin and Cassie Redlingshafer, and #2 doubles champions Caroline Connor and Morgan Barrett.  A great day for the team! The team followed up on Saturday with an impressive showing at the Pembroke Hill tournament.

Congratulations to the varsity tennis team as they captured Second Place in the District Meet which STA hosted at the Plaza Tennis Center Friday, October 10.  JoEllen Redlingshafer and Kylie Hornbeck finished Second in Doubles competition.  The team moves on to the Regional Match vs. Park Hill South on Tuesday at the PTC at 3:30 PM.

TheSTA Varsity Tennis Team won the District 8 regional match with ParkHill South last Tuesday.  In the Sectional Semi-finals Saturdaymorning, STA defeated Liberty, advancing to the Sectional finalsSaturday afternoon.  At Park Hill H.S., STA fell to the Trojans, 5-2. The STA doubles team of JoEllen Redlingshafer and Kylie Hornbeck finished in 7th Place in Doubles competition in the STATE TOURNAMENT last Friday and Saturday at the CooperTennis Center in Springfield.
