STA DANCE TEAM NEWS---
The dance team attended Universal Dance Association Summer Camp with several other schools, June 5th-8th. They competed their Home Routine & won 1st place, qualifying them for Nationals. They also won the Team Full Out Award and the 110% Award for their hard work and dedication all weekend. They spent 3 days learning jazz routines, pom routines, and hip-hop routines that will be performed throughout the year.
The dance team will perform at all home JV / Varsity volleyball matches and at all home Varsity basketball games for STA. In the fall, they perform after JV volleyball matches & before Varsity volleyball matches. In the winter, they perform at half-time of Varsity basketball games. The dancers will perform a new dance at each game.
The dance team has already performed at the STA/Sion volleyball game, the half-time of the Rockhurst/Blue Springs South football game, and at the half-time of a charity Women's Flag-Football game who played to raise money for Alzheimer's.
They will be performing at 3 more home volleyball games, Sept. 25th, Sept. 29th, and Oct. 10th, as well as at the St. Ann’s Carnival on Oct. 11th. The dance team is busy right now preparing routines for upcoming performances as well as learning their competition routines for competition season which begins in November.
