St. Teresa’s Academy - College Prep for Young Women Since 1866

Modular Scheduling

In 1970-71, St. Teresa’s began a rotating modular schedule. Through the years, this schedule has been modified and refined to provide the student with the most advanced optimum college-preparatory environment.

Some of the advantages of a flexible modular schedule include:

  • encourages responsibility, self-discipline
  • allows time for meeting with teachers for extra help
  • students do not move with the same homogeneous group
  • rotation of classes benefits a morning vs. afternoon person
  • students become comfortable with the concept of resource/learning centers as a tool to receive additional help

At St. Teresa’s Academy, no two schedules are alike; each student is unique and carries a schedule created especially for her. A student leaves St. Teresa’s with considerable experience in decision-making and self-direction of time.
