Connecting the Stars
St. Teresa's Academy takes to the road to as we reconnect with alumnae and friends throughout the USA. The primary goal of these visits is to better communicate with our alumnae and personally involve them in future STA-related activities. Keep your eyes open because St. Teresa's may be coming to your city soon!

New England visit
St. Teresa’s continued its efforts in linking alumnae nationwide with a recent visit to Wellesley, MA. On April 4, Nan Bone, president; Mary Beth Compton, executive director of development; and Kathleen Barry, alumnae director, had the wonderful privilege of connecting with STA alums from the New England area. Kelly Crawford Friendly, Class of 1988 and Lynne Brady Wagner, Class of 1985 hosted the event for St. Teresa’s. Kelly opened her lovely home and alums gathered to enjoy each other and hear about the latest activities and events happening at STA. It was an amazing evening and an incredible opportunity to reconnect with so many talented and interesting alums. The classes represented at the event ranged from the Class of 1959 through the Class of 2007.
Colorado Visit

St. Teresa's continued its efforts in linking alumnae nationwide with a recent visit to Colorado. On October 21, Nan Bone, president; Mary Beth Compton, executive director of development; and Kathleen Barry, alumnae director, had the wonderful privilege of connecting with STA alums from the Colorado area. Kathy Cody, Class of 1967, opened her lovely home and alums gathered to enjoy each other and hear about the latest activities and events happening at STA. It wan an amazing evening and an incredible opportunity to reconnect with so many talented and interesting alums. The classes represented at the event ranged from the class of 1956 through the Class of 2002.
Chicago Visit

On May 6 and 7 , 2010, Nan Bone, president, and Kathleen Barry, alumnae director, had the wonderful privilege of connecting with STA alums in the Chicago area. There was such a wide area in which to visit with alums that two events were held. Mary Jo Geisel DeMaio ('76) opened her gracious home in Hinsdale, Ill., on Thursday, May 6. Many alums gathered to enjoy each other's company and talk with Nan and Kathleen about the latest activities and events happening at STA. Thanks so much to Mary Jo for hosting this wonderful affair.
On Friday, May 7, Dunlay's on Clark was the site of our second event. Doug Dunlay (son of STA teacher Pat Dunlay), who owns the restaurant, welcomed the alums to a lovely private room in which to gather. Many thanks to Doug for his hospitality.

New York Visit

On Feb. 4, 2010, Nan Bone, president, and Kathleen Barry, alumnae director, connected with STA alums in New York and the surrounding area. Betsy O'Brien Pitts hosted the event by opening her beautiful home to over 35 alums. Former STA students gathered to enjoy each other's company and visit with Nan and Kathleen about the wonderful changes happening at STA. It was a wonderful evening on Park Avenue and the perfect opportunity to reconnect with so many talented and interesting alums. St. Louis Visit

Our very first Connect the Stars was held on Feb. 12, 2009. Susie Eagan Ohlendorf, Class of '63, hosted a party for over 30 alums in her home. Alums of all ages were glad to discover so many alums in their city. Many job opportunities were exchanged.
